Ehsan Farahbakhsh

Dr. Ehsan Farahbakhsh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the EarthByte Group at the School of Geosciences, University of Sydney. He holds a PhD in Mining Engineering – Mineral Exploration, and his expertise lies at the intersection of geoscience and advanced data analytics. His current research focuses on developing data science applications, particularly machine learning and deep learning, for mineral exploration, with the goal of building reliable multidimensional prospectivity models. He also works on advanced remote sensing data processing, applying his analytical skills to extract insights for both geological and environmental applications. His research supports the development of sustainable exploration practices and environmental monitoring, contributing to a deeper understanding of Earth’s resources and the effects of human activity on natural systems.
